Stevens Point Clerk's office hours will be extended to make it easier for residents to register to vote or vote absentee for the upcoming General Election on November 6. Clerk John Moe hopes this will help reduce congestion at the Polls on Election Day. Clerk Moe reminds voters that registration and in-person absentee voting end at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 2.

Residents should use the Strongs Avenue entrance of City Hall, 1515 Strongs Avenue. Extended hours are as follows:

Week of October 22 – 26 7:30 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
Saturday, October 27 9:00 A.M. – Noon
Week of October 29 – November 2 7:30 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.

Clerk Moe also reminds Stevens Point residents that they do not need a particular reason to vote absentee. Voters may also submit a written request that a ballot be mailed to them, although such a request must be received by 5:00 P.M. November 1. Military and indefinitely confined electors have until 5:00 P.M. November 2 to submit a written request that a ballot be mailed to them.

City residents who need to register to vote may do so at the Clerk's Office until 5:00 p.m. on November 2 or at their polling place on Election Day. Proof of residence must be provided.

Voter registration and absentee ballot applications are available at the Clerk’s Office and on the City’s web site. Further questions may be directed to the Clerk's Office at 715-346-1569.
