[ARCHIVED] Fourth Ave. Closes Michigan to Minnesota June 18

The City of Stevens Point will be reconstructing Fourth Avenue from Michigan Avenue to
Minnesota Avenue beginning the week of June 18, 2012. Fourth Avenue will be closed to through traffic during construction.

The City of Stevens Point will be reconstructing Fourth Avenue from Michigan Avenue to Minnesota Avenue beginning the week of June 18, 2012. The project will include new asphalt pavement, storm sewer, concrete curb and gutter, concrete driveway aprons between the curb and sidewalk and new sanitary sewer and sanitary sewer lateral replacement in the 2400 block.

Those property owners in the 2400 block of Fourth Avenue that have old non-standard
sanitary sewer laterals in the street, such as a clay sanitary lateral will need to be
replaced. The City Clerk will be notifying all property owners by mail for the replacement of non-standard laterals giving the time and place of the public hearing for the proposed special assessments.

Fourth Avenue will be closed to through traffic during construction.
