The City of Stevens Point has vacancies on the newly-formed Administrative Appeals Board and on the Bicycle / Pedestrian Street Safety Committee. Applicants must be City residents and must fill out our application form.
The Administrative Review Board is a quasi-judicial body that hears and decides appeals of certain determinations made by City staff or City governmental bodies.
The Review Board acts similarly to a judge in that it hears testimony, receives evidence, makes decisions as to the conduct of a hearing, and ultimately applies a legal standard to the evidence in order to arrive at a decision based upon the law and the facts as presented.
The decisions of the Administrative Review Board are final and may only be overturned via appeal to the Portage County Circuit Court.
The Bicycle / Pedestrian Street Safety Committee ensures that bicycle & pedestrian projects in the City are consistent with the Countywide Bicycle & Pedestrian Plan.
