[ARCHIVED] Excessive Heat Warning in Effect through 7 pm Thursday

The National Weather Service Excessive Heat Warning remains in effect through 7 p.m. Thursday July 21. The Salvation Army Hope Center at 1600 Briggs Street is open as a cooling center from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

Heat safety tips:
Don’t leave children, disabled persons, or pets in parked vehicles.
Drink plenty of water.
Limit physical activity.
Wear lightweight, light colored clothing.
Check on your neighbors, especially the elderly.
