The City of Stevens Point today confirmed it has been working with Shine Medical on negotiating a development package to bring Shine Medical Technologies to Stevens Point.
The City of Stevens Point has been working with Shine Medical on negotiating a development package to bring Shine Medical Technologies to Stevens Point. “We have been working aggressively with Shine Medical executives and investors to determine their needs in choosing a location, and preparing a package that will meet those needs,” Stevens Point Mayor Andrew Halverson said. “This project represents a tremendous opportunity for not only Stevens Point and Central Wisconsin, with the prospect of 120 new jobs, but indeed the entire Country given the uniqueness and medical importance of the product that Shine will produce.”
“We are thrilled that we have the amenities in our community that make sense to companies like Shine,” Halverson said. “Fred Mancheski, Greg Piefer, and Steve Hathaway have been gentlemen and extraordinary businessmen to work with on this project. To be able to work with Stevens Point native Fred Mancheski on this project to work to bring this great new company to his hometown holds a special sense of pride for me and Stevens Point, and we thank Mr. Mancheski for remembering what Stevens Point is capable of doing.”
Halverson said, “It is the City’s intent to do all that it can to work with Shine to create a package that will be a win-win for all parties. The City of Stevens Point continues to be, annually, one of the best places to live and do business in the United States and we hope that will also play into Shine’s ultimate decision as to where to locate. We will be presenting our package to Shine over the next several weeks to be able to work with Shine’s deadline of choosing a location by mid-summer.”
