Jim Draeger, Historic Preservation Officer and Dir. of Outreach for the Wisconsin Historical Society will give a presentation on the benefits of historical preservation to both the community & property owners, Dec.16 at 6 pm at the Po. Co. Public Library.
In 2011, the Wisconsin Historical Society conducted an intensive survey of Stevens Point, identifying over a hundred properties that would likely be eligible for the National Register of Historic Places. This presentation will answer many questions about being on the register and how we as a city can benefit in many ways by supporting the upkeep/renovation of our historically unique and significant properties and to make that a focus of our decision making processes.
You are all welcome and encouraged to attend.
