Mayor Wiza has been appointed to the Resolutions Committee for the League of Wisconsin Municipalities, a voluntary, nonprofit, nonpartisan association of cities & villages that acts as an information clearinghouse, lobbying organization, & legal resource.
Mayor Wiza was appointed by the League’s Executive Director, Jerry Deschane.
Mayor Wiza said, “I’m very proud to have been appointed to this committee. I’d like to think that the things we’ve done in my short time in office had something to do with it. This appointment will allow me to share our ideas, thoughts, and efforts throughout the state, and bring some new ideas back to Stevens Point, too. This appointment will also help us showcase all of the great things that Stevens Point has to offer. I think it is important that people from all over the state see what our area has to offer. I like telling people about all the cool things we do here.”
The League will meet October 28 - 30, 2015 in Milwaukee, WI for their annual conference and this year’s event will cover a wide variety of topics.
Mayor Wiza's work on the Resolutions Committee will be published in the October issue of the League’s official magazine, The Municipality.
