[ARCHIVED] Three New Auxiliary Police Officers Sworn-In

Interim Chief Skibba swore-in three new Police Auxiliary Officers on May 28. Collin Bablitch, Mallori Piotrowski, and Jacob Bean have already begun training in traffic and crowd control and will be ready for the busy Stevens Point summer event season.

The Auxiliary Police Unit was formed in November of 2012 to act as an extension and resource of the Police Department. The unit consists completely of volunteers, and has been utilized to assist with traffic control, public relations, safety presentations, and general security for events including parades, festivals, and runs.

The Police Auxiliary will be holding a fundraiser Brat and Burger sale at Trig's on Friday, July 17 from 10 AM to 4 PM.
