A City Comprehensive Plan Update Neighborhood Meeting will be held Wed., Dec. 17, from 6:30 - 8 pm at the Portage Co. Annex, Conference Rms. 1 & 2, 1462 Strongs Ave.. Residents, businesses, & organizations in District 9 are invited & encouraged to attend.
The City of Stevens Point's Community Development Department has begun updating the City's 2006 Comprehensive Plan. The comprehensive plan provides an assessment of existing conditions and future needs within the community. A ten to twenty-year vision is created based upon anticipated change and growth that will affect the community's health, safety, and welfare. This vision is applied to several individual components where goals and objectives are developed to be used as a policy guide for future actions.
Residents, businesses and organizations within this Aldermanic District are invited and strongly encouraged to attend the meeting. Residents, businesses and organizations located within other districts are also invited to attend.
The meeting will include the following:
• Comprehensive Plan Overview• Establishing city vision and sense of place
• Discussion of issues and opportunities• Project Next Steps
