[ARCHIVED] Needle Found in Halloween Candy

On November 4 at 5:50 am, a Stevens Point Family reported finding an approximately 3-inch long needle inside a bite-size Snicker candy bar which was obtained during trick-or-treating on Friday, October 31 in Stevens Point.

The family could not identify which home they obtained the specific candy from, but reported they went trick-or-treating in the Ellis Street, Jefferson Street, Fremont St. and Reserve Street areas of Stevens Point.

This appears to be an isolated incident; no other similar reports were received. Detectives are looking into the report. As a precaution, parents are advised to check their children’s Halloween Candy for foreign objects.
