[ARCHIVED] Robbery at South Side BP

Monday, July 21, 9:35 pm, the Stevens Point Police Department responded to a call of a robbery that had just occurred at the Southside BP, 3209 Church Street, in Stevens Point.

A store employee reported that at approximately 9:35 pm, a single white male subject entered the store and demanded cash from the register. The male was described as approximately 6 feet tall, with short blonde hair, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and sun glasses partially covering his face, and light blue jeans.

No weapon was displayed, but the suspect had his hand in his pocket implying a threat. The suspect left the store southbound on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

The Portage County Sheriff’s Department's K-9 unit was called and assisted in a tracking attempt.
