[ARCHIVED] City Employees - New Pharmacy Insurance Cards

On July 1, Security Administrative Services will make adjustments to your pharmacy benefit by changing the company that processes your prescription claims. You will receive new ID cards which will be effective July 1. Until then, use your old card.

This change will:

  • Make sure you receive the best pharmacy service available
  • Not change your prescription tiers or copayment amounts
  • Allow you to keep using your neighborhood pharmacy including all the major chains

Here's some important information you need to know:

  • You will receive new ID cards. They will look similar to your old ones, but they will have some updated information. Your new card will be effective on July 1, 2014. Until then continue to use your old card. After June 30, when you get your prescription filled, present your new card at the pharmacy. Let your pharmacist know that it is a new card and that your pharmacy benefits are being processed by a new company. After July 1, you should destroy the old card.
  • If you currently receive mail order prescriptions through Catamaran Home Delivery, we will contact you to help you transfer your prescriptions to the new company.
  • If you currently receive specialty medications through Briova Specialty Pharmacy, we will contact you to help you transfer your prescription to a new specialty pharmacy.

If you have questions about these changes, please contact our Pharmacy Department at 1-877-873-5611 or 715-221-9604 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you are hearing or speech impaired, please call TTY 1-877-727-2232.
