[ARCHIVED] WPS Urges Hunter Safety during Broken Tree Limb Cleanup

WPS reminds hunters there may still be potentially unsafe situations involving electrical equipment, power lines, and broken tree limbs in the woods. If hunters come across an unsafe scenario, they should contact WPS at 800-450-7240.

In the wake of recent strong wind storms, safety remains an ongoing concern whenever hunters try to remove fallen tree branches or debris from areas near live power lines. Broken limb removal must be done using extreme caution and is best left for tree service professionals. WPS wants outdoor enthusiasts to avoid all accidental contacts with live power lines.

WPS also thanks customers who were without power for their patience and safety while waiting to have power restored.
