[ARCHIVED] City Employees - Changes to Wellness Program

The City has made adjustments to our wellness incentive program affecting only employees who are on a family plan but do not have a spouse/domestic partner covered under the plan.

These changes are intended to make the wellness incentive program more equitable, considering that this group of employees has a higher deductible than that of a single plan, but does not have a spouse/domestic partner to help with earning wellness points.

There are two changes:

1. Employees without a spouse/domestic partner covered under the plan will earn points at the single rate.

2. Employees on a family plan, with no spouse/domestic partner covered under the plan, will automatically start with a base of 500 points.

In order to receive these enhancements, you must be covered under the city’s health plan with family coverage, you must not have a spouse/domestic partner covered under the plan for any part of the year, you must otherwise qualify for the Wellness Incentive Program, and you must write clearly and conspicuously at the top of the Wellness form: “Family Plan, No Spouse”. Failure to do so will make you ineligible for the previously mentioned adjustments.

The City of Stevens Point retains the right to further modify, amend, or discontinue the Wellness Incentive Program at any time.
