[ARCHIVED] City Employees - United Way Campaign is Underway

It is time for the 2013 United Way campaign. Printed information and pledge forms will be distributed to all departments. If you meet the criteria with your donation, you will be automatically entered in the Drive United Car Sweepstakes.

United Way of Portage County advances the common good by creating opportunities for a better life for all. Your donation, no matter what the amount, makes a difference and is vitally important.

New this year: If you meet the criteria (below) with your donation, you will be automatically entered in the Drive United Car Sweepstakes. One lucky winner will choose from one of these cars generously donated by Scaffidi Motors:

• 2014 Ford Fusion
• 2014 Volkswagen Jetta• 2014 Hyundai Sonata

Any donor who makes a first-time gift of $52 ($1 per week) or more in 2013 or an increase of at least $26 (50¢ per week) from his or her 2012 campaign gift of $52 or more will automatically receive 100 entries into the Drive United Sweepstakes for a chance to win.

Give $52 or more to United Way and/or any of its Education, Income, Health or Community Basics strategies or special initiatives to receive a coupon book offering discounts on dining, entertainment, and services throughout Portage County.

See the posters and brochures for more information on other prizes to win. Please do what you can and really consider donating to this great fund. Remember you can give, you can advocate, and you can volunteer. That’s what it means to Live United.

The completed forms must be returned to Kelley Pazdernik in the Mayor’s Office before November 1, 2013 to be included in the United Way prize drawings on November 15. If any City Employee needs more forms or any other information, contact Kelley at 715-346-1570.

Sincerely,
Andrew J. Halverson, Mayor
