[ARCHIVED] New Auxiliary Police Unit Sworn In

The Stevens Point Police Department is proud to announce the recent swearing in of the newly formed Police Auxiliary Unit. On April 4, Chief Kevin Ruder officiated the swearing of 12 all volunteer Auxiliary Police.

Members of this unit include: Orrin Ambrose; Gino Bulak; Tia Hartl; Alexander Kochanowski; Alexander Matsche; Melvin Plummer; Andrew Poeschel; Ray Potocki; Ethan Przybylski; Daniel Trelka; Mark Smallwood; and Michael Long.

The Auxiliary Police Unit was formed in November of 2012 to act as an extension and resource of the Police Department. The unit will be utilized to assist with traffic control and general security for events including parades, festivals and running events.
