[ARCHIVED] The Stevens Point Police are investigating a suspicious incident.

The Stevens Point Police are investigating a suspicious incident which occurred Sunday, March 3 at approximately 3:00PM.

As a juvenile female was jogging on Reserve Street near Maria Drive she was approached by a male asking for directions. The male reportedly grabbed the female’s arm and attempt to pull her toward his vehicle. The girl was able to pull her arm away from the male and run away.

The suspect is described as Male White in his 50’s, stocky build, approximately 200lbs and a gray beard. The vehicle is described as a light blue or gray car with a red emblem on the front grill area.

This description of the suspect and vehicle match that of two other similar incidents in the area, one which occurred at Iverson Park on 10-01-2012 and another on Prentice Street on 12-06-2012.

The Police Department is looking for any information regarding these incidents and help identifying the suspect.

We are also urging walkers and joggers to stay in groups and in well lighted and populated areas. Also, please be aware of your surroundings and report any suspicious incidents immediately to Law Enforcement.
