[ARCHIVED] Absentee Voting Deadlines Approaching for Spring Primary

Requests to receive an absentee ballot by mail must be received by the Clerk’s office no later than 5:00 p.m. Thursday, February 14. The completed ballot must be postmarked no later than Election Day, Tuesday, February 19, in order for it to be counted.

City Clerk John Moe reminds voters today that absentee voting ends later this week. The only race that appears on the City’s Spring Primary ballot is for the Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice. There are three candidates vying for two spots on the April 2 Spring Election ballot. The candidates, in the order they appear on the ballot, are Vince Megna, Ed Fallone and Pat Roggensack.

Requests to receive an absentee ballot by mail must be received by the Clerk’s office no later than 5:00 p.m. Thursday, February 14. The completed ballot must be postmarked no later than Election Day, Tuesday, February 19, in order for it to be counted.

Stevens Point residents can also vote in person at the City Clerk’s office in City Hall, 1515 Strongs Avenue, until 5:00 p.m. this Friday, February 15.

Clerk Moe also reminds individuals who have not already registered to vote or those who have either moved or changed their name that they will need to re-register before they will be allowed to vote.

There are exceptions for military voters and indefinitely confined electors.
