Gang Resistance Education & Training

G.R.E.A.T., Gang Resistance Education And Training, is taught at the 7th grade level by the Police School Liaison Officer.

This is a nine-session program taught over the course of the semester. The ninth session is graduation, where there is usually a party.

The program discusses the trends of gangs, why people join gangs, and suggests positive alternatives to criminal activity.
