More Information

Please note while this is free subscription service, local carrier message and data rates may apply. Also, the City cannot guarantee that you will receive all messages sent, so it is important that you continue to check our website or call to verify if you have questions with any of the notification service offerings. If you have any questions please contact us at (715) 346-1567.

The City Municipal Code of Ordinances 16.06(2), as well as State Statute 66.0907(5), both require for the safety of everyone in our community who use sidewalks during the winter, that property owners and/or building occupants are responsible for removing snow and ice from the sidewalk in front of their house or building within 24 hours after the end of any measurable snowfall event, except in those areas where there is no boulevard between the sidewalk and curb, in which case snow must be removed within 48 hours. If the snow or ice is not removed, the City may have it removed by a contractor and bill those charges including a service fee to the property owner, which if unpaid will be applied to the property taxes.
