Seniors Ride the Bus to Trig’s FREE Seniors (62 and over) may ride the Stevens Point Transit
bus to and from Trig’s free of charge on the first Tuesday of every month. Trig’s will pay the fare for Seniors
who ride and shop there on the first Tuesday, which is "Senior Day" at Trig’s, when Seniors receive a
5% discount on their grocery purchases.
Bus passes, maps, and schedules can now be found at
the service desk at ShopKo, 1200 Main St. They are also available at County Market, 1600 Academy Ave.; Copps South,
3256 Church St.; and from any city bus.
The City of Stevens Point provides public transportation through two services, fixed route transportation
and Point Plus, a specialized door-to-door service for Americans with Disabilities
Act (ADA) qualified riders. Point Transit provides service to the communities of Stevens Point, Whiting, Park Ridge,
and the Crossroads Commons shopping center in Plover.
Point Transit is operated by a staff of sixteen Bus Operators (six full time and ten part time), an evening/weekend
Supervisor, an Operations Supervisor, and a Transit Manager.
