The Stevens Point Police Department continually
advertises to establish an eligibility list for the position of Sworn Law Enforcement Officer for the City of Stevens
Point. Once an eligibility list is established, it is maintained for a period of one year. The list may be renewed
for one additional year at the discretion of the city.

The Department has developed an informational brochure,
available by request.
We now take applications continually.
There is no longer an application fee.

Field Training Officer ride-alongs
Background investigations
Chief/Captain interviews
Police & Fire Commission interviews
Conditional offer of employment
Medical exam (including physical agility testing)
Psychological exam
Final offer of employment
