Chaplain Program
| On December 10th, 2002, the Stevens Point Police Department
introduced the Police Chaplaincy Program. The program currently has eight local clergy serving as Police Chaplains. These Chaplains provide a 24 hour, 365 day-a-year on-call resource for the Stevens Point Police Department during times of need in our community. Chaplains will come at any hour, for many different life changing situations. Mostly, they listen. But they also comfort people who are in need, or if someone asks, a prayer will be offered in guarded privacy for support during those difficult moments.
