Request for Proposal: Extrication Equipment for Rescue and Fire Suppression Vehicles  - The Stevens Point Fire Department is accepting bids for battery powered extrication equipment and tools, airbag lifting kits, and vehicle stabilization kits to outfit two fire apparatus. Stevens Point Leaf Collection October 29, 2018  - Leaf collection in the City of Stevens Point begins at 7 AM on Monday, October 29. All leaves, grass clippings, and garden waste must be in bags at curbside by 7 AM on the 29th. (There will be no branch collection.) Read More
Consider Serving on Deer Management Committee  - We have vacancies on our Deer Management Committee, which works with local pantries, the DNR & the Police Dept., assessing/recommending options for deer herd management within the City. City Seeks Christmas Tree for Downtown  - We're looking for a Christmas tree for downtown. It should be nearby because we have to transport it. It should be 30 - 40 feet tall with a nice shape. It needs to be donated. We’ll cut it down. If you have one or know someone who does, call 715-346-1540.
Parks Commission Seeks Input on Dredging Iverson Beach  - The McDill Lake District wants to dredge the Iverson Park beach area to create a silt trap for sand flowing downstream toward McDill Pond. The Park Board seeks input from park users about the proposed project & its effect on the swimming area & the park. Read More
WPS Replacing Meters in Stevens Point  - Wisconsin Public Service will be replacing electric and gas meters in Stevens Point October through January or until complete. Contracted Southern Cross technicians will have WPS badges and drive vehicles branded with both Southern Cross and WPS logos.
Changes to Metered Parking near UWSP  - The City of Stevens Point will be implementing changes to the on-street multi-space metered parking around the University. Changes will include an expansion of the metered zone, reduced enforcement hours, and an increase to the hourly rate. Read More
Now Accepting Room Tax Funding Requests for Special Events  - The Stevens Point Tourism Commission will accept proposals for use of future room tax funds until November 30, 2018. All completed proposals must be returned by November 30, 2018 to be considered. Read More
