Please Water Your Street Trees
Released August 11, 2008
The City of Stevens Point Forestry Department reminds residents to water the City street trees in front of their
homes when you water the other trees on your property. Soak the soil beneath the tree, out to the dripline or the
ends of the branches, for an hour or so every week. Give the soil time to dry out a little before watering again.
Urban Forestry
The trees of Stevens Point are the growing capital
asset that benefit everyone in the city. Our trees help make Stevens Point a great place to live, do business,
and visit. They help provide us with essential services such as clean air and water, as well as economic bonuses
such as lower energy bills.
